Troubleshooting

No events arriving. Check that the loader is installed (view page source and search for loader.js), that the store isn't in Strict consent mode without a consent call, and that ad blockers aren't blocking your app domain.

A change doesn't show. The CSS selector probably doesn't exist in your theme. Open your storefront, right-click the element → Inspect, and copy a class selector. The loader waits up to 5 seconds for late-rendering elements.

Flicker. Keep the loader in <head> (script tag and app embed installs do this automatically).

Bots. Crawlers, uptime monitors and headless browsers are ignored by the loader and the event API, so they can't skew your traffic split.

SRM warning. Common causes are redirect tests, caching plugins serving one variant, or bots. Pause the test, fix the cause, and relaunch as a fresh test.

Sync failed. Usually a revoked token or a missing permission. Open Proofsplit from your Shopify admin to reconnect. Partial syncs list which parts were skipped.
