We are the controller for the data of merchants who use Proofsplit and of visitors to this website. For data about a store's shoppers we act as a processor on behalf of the merchant, who decides to run tests on their store.

This website

When you open this website, our server processes your IP address, browser details and the time of the request to deliver the page and keep it secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We use no analytics or advertising cookies here, only cookies that are strictly needed for security.

Merchant data

Account and workspace details (name, email, store domain, settings, store facts you confirm) and data synced from your Shopify store: products, theme structure, and order outcomes (order id, totals, discounts, status). We do not store customer names, email addresses, postal addresses or payment details. We process this to provide the service you installed (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Shopper data

On the merchant's storefront, Proofsplit sets a random, pseudonymous visitor ID and records page types, test exposures, add-to-cart, checkout-start and purchase events with order value. Event records contain no names, email addresses, postal addresses, payment details or IP addresses. The Proofsplit pixel runs under Shopify's customer-privacy settings and the storefront script follows the store's consent banner; without consent, nothing is stored and the shopper sees the original store. Shoppers can opt out with window.aicro.optOut().

Offer tests

When a merchant runs an offer test, shoppers in the test group may be shown a personalised price or discount. Proofsplit labels such offers as a "personalised test offer".

Retention

Event data is deleted after the retention period configured per workspace (default 180 days). Uninstalling the app or deleting a workspace deletes its data. We honour Shopify's privacy webhooks (customer data request, customer redact, shop redact).

Service providers

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data and to object to processing (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Merchants can export or delete their workspace data in Settings. Write to wssolutionsllc@zohomail.eu for anything else. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.

A data processing agreement for merchants is available on request.
