Advanced: CSS-selector tests & the element picker

By default, tests use Proofsplit blocks. If you enable Settings → Advanced, you can also change existing theme elements by CSS selector. It's more flexible but more fragile, because theme updates can break selectors. In the builder, press Pick next to a change, and your storefront opens in pick mode:

1. Hover to highlight, then click the element you want to change. Links and buttons won't fire.
2. Press Use this element. The selector, and for text changes the current text, are filled in for you.

The picker prefers stable class names and checks that the selector matches exactly one element. If your browser blocks pop-ups, allow them for this site. Pick-mode visits are never tracked.
